How do I import existing and already paid PDF invoices into QuickBooks?

If you're trying to record all the invoices and payments, importing these transactions as PDF is unavailable.

 

You can import payments alone via Web Connect on the Banking page. For the invoices, you can import this using the QBO supported file:

 

  • Comma-Separated Values (.csv)
  • Quicken (.qfx)
  • QuickBooks Online (.qbo)
  • Microsoft Money (.ofx).

Before doing so, make sure to turn on the Import Style preference.

 

  1. Click the Gear icon at the upper right corner.
  2. Select QuickBooks Labs under Your Company.
  3. Go to the Import Style section and hit ON.
  4. Click Done.

 

Then, proceed importing the invoices into QuickBooks:

 

  1. Go to the Gear icon.
  2. Select Import Data under Tools.
  3. Click Invoices.
  4. Click Browse to select the file. 
  5. Then, Next.

 

Just tap on me whenever you need help when importing transactions to QuickBooks Online.
