Recording wrong bank transfer and refund of it after deductions

We made an international wire transfer to a wrong supplier.  Supplier instructed his bank to return the transfer to sender bank. Banks, after deductions, 15 days later refunded the amount to my account.
1. I created cheque expense to that supplier for the transfer of the money.
2. I created deposit for the received amount, and negative received amount for the bank charges from the "Deposit" screen.
Result:
1. Vendor's statement messed up, like they owe us something...
2. A/P giving negative figure...
3. Bank deposit doens't appear in the vendor's account...

Hello there, ["Serhat"],

The transaction created did not offset the refund from the customer.

Make sure to use A/P on the deposit page. Next, link the deposit to the check:

  1. Click the Plus icon.
  2. Select Expense or Cheque.
  3. In the Choose a payee drop-down, select the supplier name.
  4. Leave the Reference / Cheque #, Date, Amount and Memo fields blank.
  5. From the Add to Expense or Add to Cheque section, select Add for the outstanding supplier credit and deposit.
  6. Select Save and close.

You can check the vendor's statement to verify the changes created.
