Only the Master Admin is allowed to remove an accountant. If you are the master admin, let's perform a few steps to check if this is a browser-related issue.
Cache and cookies are used to make a browser easier and faster to use. However, this can also cause issues when piled up.
You can use a private window and perform the task there. This window doesn't store cache files.
If you're able to remove your accountant, you can go back to the original browser and clear the cache. This is to delete the internet files that might be causing the issue.
Also, I'd recommend switching to a different browser such as Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome.
