I appreciate you contacting the Community with your concerns regarding printing checks. I'd like to provide some information on this issue you're running into.
There have been several reports of the check printing function being down. The engineers are aware and diligently working to get this back up and running as quickly as possible. You can keep an eye on the status by following this link: http://status.quickbooks.intuit.com/.
Thank you for your patience while this is being worked on. I'm only a comment away if you have any other questions. Take care.
Is this still a problem? I can't print checks, but can print reports. QBs desktop 2019.
Using QBs 2019 desktop - can't print checks, but can print reports. How to fix?
Thanks for joining this thread and for sharing your QuickBooks edition, ckwcpa.
I can help make sure you can print checks in QuickBooks Desktop 2019.
The information shared by my colleague above is for QuickBooks Online. Let's perform some troubleshooting steps to resolve this in QuickBooks Desktop.
First, try updating your QuickBooks Desktop to the latest release. Next, the QuickBooks PDF & Print Repair Tool will help if you're having printing issues. It will allow QuickBooks Desktop to create a new file from the default settings.
Here's how:
Once done, try printing a check.
That should get you on the right track. Please let me know if you can successfully print a check. If there is anything else I can do for you, please let me know. Have a great day.
I tried this and when I hit ok the window closes but problem not fixed. On the last pop up if I hit Options instead of OK I get another pop up titled "quickBooks - Unrecoverable Error" It ask me what I was trying to do I fill it in and hit send but have heard back from anybody. Its been about a week

I appreciate you following the troubleshooting provided by my colleague. Let’s try another one to help you get back on track.
Suppressing the desktop enables you to open a company data file without any windows open. Here’s how to perform these steps while starting QuickBooks.
If you get the same result, let’s open a sample file to check if the issue is with the data file or the software. Here’s how:
If you continue to experience the same issue, follow the recommended steps in the Unrecoverable Error: General Troubleshooting Steps guide. Then, perform Solution 5: Troubleshoot the QuickBooks Desktop Application.
Keep in touch if you need further assistance while working in QuickBooks. Please know I’m always here ready to help and make sure you’re taken care of. Have a great rest of the day.
