My Enhanced Payroll just automatically renewed on March 17, 2019. How will that affect me after the May 31st, 2019 deadline for QuickBooks Pro 2016?

Let me provide some insights on what will happen to your newly renewed payroll once QuickBooks Pro 2016 is discontinued.

If you will upgrade your QuickBooks Desktop to its latest version, then you can still continue using your Enhanced Payroll without interruption.

If you’ve decide not to upgrade QuickBooks, your payroll subscription will still be active but you can no longer run payroll using QuickBooks. If you cancel your payroll, you’ll receive a prorated refund for the unused portion of it.

To avoid the discontinuation of your payroll service, I'd recommend performing the following by May 31, 2019:

  1. Purchase a supported version of QuickBooks Software.
  2. Install QuickBooks Desktop, then register it to your account.
  3. Once done, you can run your payroll using the new software.
