Can I have multiple businesses on quickbooks? How?

You cannot have multiple businesses in the same QuickBooks Online account.  You CAN have multiple accounts under the same login though.  You would need to sign up for a separate subscription for each company,.

If you have more than one division or branch, you may utilize the Class feature. But if you are talking about second company with different business, you should open a new QBO account.

Otherwise, consider swithing to QB Desktop version. You may create and manage multiple company files with a single one time license. Deploy a private cloud or put your license on QB cloud hosting if required.
