Payroll subscription won't activate error 15262 every contact link sends one to a loop of pages with no one to contact what a joke

I am going to refer you to issues recently experienced with 15xxx errors and that  repairing QuickBooks appears to correct the problems.

I have the same problem, and this is not the first time. 

After you click 100 or 200 times it will exit. Looking for a phone number to call.

Hello Mark Burrows,

 

Error 15xxx series are caused of incorrect configuration in Microsoft Explorer when downloading and installing QuickBooks Desktop updates.

 

These errors can be fixed by following the troubleshooting steps:

  1. Run Reboot.bat
  2. Restart your computer. Then, open QuickBooks Desktop.
  3. If you are prompted to install an update, select on Install Now.
  4. If you are still unable to install the update, delete and download the update again.
    1. Close QuickBooks Desktop.
    2. Go to C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Intuit\QuickBooks < versionXX> \Components. (Note: XX is the version number of QuickBooks Desktop. For example, QuickBooks Desktop 2019 is DownloadQB19.)
  5. Open QuickBooks Desktop. Click on the Help menu, then Update QuickBooks Desktop.
  6. Go to the Update Now tab. Then mark the Reset the updates checkbox.
  7. Select Get Updates to re-download the updates.
  8. When the download is complete, close and reopen QuickBooks Desktop.
  9. On the QuickBooks Desktop Update Service window, select Install Now.

When the error is fixed, let's activate the payroll service:

  1. Go to Employees, then select Payroll.
  2. Select Install Payroll from Box.
  3. Complete the fields in the Payroll License and Product Information page.
  4. Click on Continue.
  5. Complete the fields in the Payroll Company Legal Information section.
  6. Enter the payment and contact information in the Billing Information section.
  7. Click on Continue.
  8. Login into your Intuit Account.
  9. Click on the Start Payroll button in the Confirmation.
