Unknown Client-Specific Tax Form Printing Error 10004

I cannot get any further than the 10004 error code when attempting to process payroll tax form from payroll

This error message appears when the software is corrupted.

To get rid of the error, you need to begin the repair process. Please check out this article for the detailed steps: Fix QuickBooks Desktop (Windows).

Once done, make sure to update the payroll tax table to the latest release to resolve the unknown error.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Employees menu, then select Get Payroll Updates.
  2. Put a check in the Download Entire Update checkbox.
  3. Click Download Latest Update.
  4. A window appears when the download is complete.
