Taxes menu link not working

Dear All,

I'm having a problem accessing the VAT ("Taxes") area of my client's QBO company. I click on the "Taxes" link in the menu and, aside from the menu item being tagged green, nothing happens in the main workspace.

I know the client is set up for VAT and I also know that I have previously been able to access the "Taxes" area (run VAT returns, make amendments etc.). However, this functionality now seems to have disappeared.

Is anyone else experiencing problems today?

If not... has anyone else come across this issue and knows how to fix it?

I look forward to any assistance anyone can offer.




Hi Info,

This issue about not being able to access the VAT Centre has been reported by several QuickBooks Online (QBO) users.

This has been investigated by our engineers and we've just received an update that the issue has been fixed.

You may need to log out and log back into the QBO account or clear your browser's cache​ to refresh the connection.

If the problem persists after doing the above troubleshooting procedure, please contact support​ to look into the problem further.

  5. Be encouraging and positive. Look for ways to eliminate uncertainty by anticipating people's concerns. Make it apparent that we really like helping them achieve positive outcomes.
