I just got a new computer and am trying to reinstall my quickbooks pro2009, where can I get a download for it?

how do I install pro2009, if my new computer does not have a disk drive?

How new? 2009 will not work on a Win10 environment and 2012 was the last time you could get a download for it. You can buy a usb disc drive for about $49 but you cannot update what you would install if you could install so your current fully updated, as far as 2009 is concerned, would not open in a fresh install from disc. The oldest download available is 2010 https://downloads.quickbooks.com/app/qbdt/products?productName=QuickBooks%20Desktop%20Pro&edition=&v... but you do not have a license for 2010 or any other year than 2009 and intuit will not sell you a license for it so no matter what you could not activate any newer vedrsion that you have not purchased

To attempt to maintain 2009 you would have to clone your hard drive from old to new or install existing drive in new computer as master drive, and run under your 10 year or more older operating system. I am guessing no newer than XP and XP and anything older are no longer supported by microsoft and are so full of security holes it is very dangerous to connect a XP machine to the web.

Back then your entire quickbooks, software and data, was usually fully contained in one folder so you might be able to drag the folder from drive to drive with a removable drive but you will not be able to self-authenticate the program IF it would open to run.

You would have to contact support. Link at bottom. https://community.intuit.com/articles/1774711-download-quickbooks-desktop

You have used up more than the usable life (versions are supported for only 3 years) so you really, really need to consider buying the newest version, 2019 for your new computer. You still will need support to upgrade your company file to work unless you have contacts with 2 or better 3 intermediate versions to convert by steps. You missed the cyber monday sales when Pro was $180 but current street price even direct from intuit is $200. You will spend more than that just in lost production time trying to install and make 2009 work on your new machine

People come to QuickBooks Learn & Support for help and answers—we want to let them know that we're here to listen and share our knowledge. We do that with the style and format of our responses. Here are five guidelines:

  1. Keep it conversational. When answering questions, write like you speak. Imagine you're explaining something to a trusted friend, using simple, everyday language. Avoid jargon and technical terms when possible. When no other word will do, explain technical terms in plain English.
  2. Be clear and state the answer right up front. Ask yourself what specific information the person really needs and then provide it. Stick to the topic and avoid unnecessary details. Break information down into a numbered or bulleted list and highlight the most important details in bold.
  3. Be concise. Aim for no more than two short sentences in a paragraph, and try to keep paragraphs to two lines. A wall of text can look intimidating and many won't read it, so break it up. It's okay to link to other resources for more details, but avoid giving answers that contain little more than a link.
  4. Be a good listener. When people post very general questions, take a second to try to understand what they're really looking for. Then, provide a response that guides them to the best possible outcome.
  5. Be encouraging and positive. Look for ways to eliminate uncertainty by anticipating people's concerns. Make it apparent that we really like helping them achieve positive outcomes.
