QuickBooks Performance Issues
The issue is that it is loading slow, the start-up time is 10 seconds to the log in screen and 20 seconds from the login to the book on premise. Off premise is triple to quadruple the loading times consistently. We have 3 desktop QuickBooks clients and 1 server hosting the books from a mapped drive.
The server only has QuickBooks Database Server Manager 2019 installed. The server specs are as follows; It is a VM installation of 2012 R2 Datacenter x64-based, 8GB RAM allocated, QEMU Virtual CPU version 2.3.0 with 2000 Mhz at 2 cores and 2 physical processors, and the drive is hidden but mapped for the users running the QuickBooks desktop clients. Our QuickBooks desktop clients versions are 2019 as well.
I must note that for some reason the workbooks have been stuck in Single-User mode as well. One of the users changed the book to Single-User mode in order to make some changes and has not been able to change it back.
Is there compatibility issues when hosting the workbooks from a server or an ideal set up that does not involve hosting the books from a users desktop?
