Can we run a single payroll that contains both printed checks and direct deposits?
If we run payroll on 11/14/18 then the checks are dated 11/14/18. The direct deposit doesn't go in until 11/16/18, do we need to submit payroll taxes twice due to the date difference or is the payroll date the date that we ran payroll, and not the date the deposit happens? Our accounting department is under the impression that we will need to run payroll twice to do both printed and direct deposit. Thanks in advance.
