When using my Android phone to enter a discount I can enter the minus sign to subtract but cannot do this on any tablet version or iPhone. What am I doing wrong

Let's check your discount item first and make sure that the rate has a minus sign, gregbb58.

When entering an invoice in the QBO app, the rate of the discount is based on what you've entered on the setup. If you created a discount item without the minus sign, here's how you can edit it:

  1. Click the Menu icon (three horizontal lines) in the upper left-hand corner.
  2. Click Products & Services.
  3. Select the Discount item.
  4. In the Rate/Price Each field, enter the minus sign followed by the discount amount.
  5. Click Done.

Once you create an invoice, the minus sign of the discount will display.

However, if you've done these steps and got the same result, I'd suggest uninstalling and reinstalling the QBO application. This is to get rid of any damages in the program.
