Why can't I open payroll from my company? See All Services Inc

I being trying to turn on payroll, on my company site, an error pops up all the time

Hi there, pulgarivera.

I'd be happy to provide you with some helpful information on this matter.

Pop-ups can occur if you have the required information to activate the payroll feature for the company file:

  • Active payroll subscription
  • EIN
  • Service key

We can remove the EIN and service key from the company file.

Here's how to remove the EIN:

  1. At the top menu, click Company and select My Company.
  2. Click the pencil icon to edit the Company Information.
  3. In the Company Information window, go to Company Identification and remove the EIN.
  4. Click OK.

Now, here's how to remove the service key:

  1. At the top menu, click Employees and select My Payroll Service.
  2. Select Manage Service Key.
  3. In the QuickBooks Service Keys window, highlight the service key and click the Removed button.
  4. Click OK.
  5. Close and reopen the company file.

Moreover, you can log in to the Account Maintenance page to refresh your Payroll Service.

To log in to CAMPS, here’s how:

  1. Click on the Employees menu at the top and select My Payroll Service.
  2. Click on Account/Billing Information.
  3. Then, log out from the page.

You can also revalidate your Payroll Service Key in your company file:

  1. Click on the Employees menu at the top and select My Payroll Service.
  2. Select Manage Service Key.
  3. Click the Edit button and verify your Payroll Service key.
  4. Click Next and remove the check-mark for Open Payroll Setup - I want to start right.
  5. Click Finish. QuickBooks will download the latest tax table and verify your payroll subscription.

If the error persists, I'd recommend contacting our payroll support team about this. They'll be able to provide further troubleshooting steps to resolve the issue. Here's how you can reach them:
1. Go to this link: https://payroll.intuit.com/support/contact/?infoSrc=qs&service=16.
2. Click the Payroll button.
3. Click the View Contact Info button.

Let me know if you need anything else,
I'll be around to help. Wishing you continued success.

People come to QuickBooks Learn & Support for help and answers—we want to let them know that we're here to listen and share our knowledge. We do that with the style and format of our responses. Here are five guidelines:

  1. Keep it conversational. When answering questions, write like you speak. Imagine you're explaining something to a trusted friend, using simple, everyday language. Avoid jargon and technical terms when possible. When no other word will do, explain technical terms in plain English.
  2. Be clear and state the answer right up front. Ask yourself what specific information the person really needs and then provide it. Stick to the topic and avoid unnecessary details. Break information down into a numbered or bulleted list and highlight the most important details in bold.
  3. Be concise. Aim for no more than two short sentences in a paragraph, and try to keep paragraphs to two lines. A wall of text can look intimidating and many won't read it, so break it up. It's okay to link to other resources for more details, but avoid giving answers that contain little more than a link.
  4. Be a good listener. When people post very general questions, take a second to try to understand what they're really looking for. Then, provide a response that guides them to the best possible outcome.
  5. Be encouraging and positive. Look for ways to eliminate uncertainty by anticipating people's concerns. Make it apparent that we really like helping them achieve positive outcomes.
