After paying HST, what do I do with the figure in the "Banking"section? In order to "Add" it, what account do I use? Is it an expense?

Downloaded bank transactions need to be Matched with the previously entered transactions in QuickBooks if you Add transactions which are already entered in QuickBooks will create duplicate transactions resulting in overstating the expenses

When you enter HST payment in QuickBooks your bank account in QuickBooks will be deducted and the liability is settled for the amount you entered.

Note: If you are registered for HST it is a Liability, not an expense.
