When opening a clients file it requires a password change but if I try and open it on a different computer connected to the same network it does not require the change.
Using QuickBooks Accountant 2016 I have been asked to change my clients password. Instead of changing the password I close and opened the same file on a different computer in the office that is connected to the same network and it opens without requiring a password change. I have tried closing and reopening on my computer and it always asks for the password. How can I get it to stop. I do not want to change their password. This problem has happened with more than one companies backup as well not just the one file.
