Setting up and accepting payments using GoPayment

Downloading the GoPayment app to your phone

To get started, just download GoPayment from the App store or Market for your mobile device. If for some reason you can't download the app, you can use the website version at https://gopayment.intuit.com from your device's browser. For step-by-step instructions, visit the setup article for GoPayment.

Now it's time to get started!

  1. Launch GoPayment on your mobile device.
  2. Sign in using your QuickBooks Online user ID and password.
  3. Enter charge amount, manually enter card number or swipe credit card, and tap Charge.
  4. In seconds you'll receive confirmation and have the option to email or text a receipt.

If you'd like to set up items and use those for your payments (note: Products and Services from QuickBooks Online are not downloaded onto the device) please visit our guide at the GoPayment support site: Use items and categories in GoPayment.

Note:  The options you'll have (tax, tip, and so on) will be different depending on which type of mobile device you're using. 

You should expect to receive your free credit card reader within 5-10 days of signing up for GoPayment. Until you receive it, you can always manually key the credit card information into your mobile keypad to process transactions.
