Printing separate client letters for federal and state returns in Lacerte

To print separate client letters for Federal and State returns:

  1. From the Settings menu, select Client Letter.
  2. Click on Tools and select Letter Settings.
  3. Check the box Separate State Letter.
  4. Click OK to save changes.

Note: When using the Separate State Letter option, this does not apply to the superseded client letter. This will display both Federal and State on a single letter.
