How do I fix error code 32?

Receiving error code 32 means that you’ve filed a Canadian tax return before and have declared yourself as a first-time filer. Be sure to update your info to reflect that you aren't a first-time filer.
Here's how to update your info:
TurboTax Online
- Go back to the 2024 tax return screen (found on the left menu).
- Find the Tax profile section.
- Select the pencil icon beside Mandatory questions.
- Check the answer to Is this your first tax return being filed with the CRA?
TurboTax Desktop
- From the left menu, select Introduction then select Contact info.
- Scroll down to the Additional Personal Information section.
- Check the answer to Are you filing an income tax return with the CRA for the first time?
If you’re receiving this error and are a first-time Canada tax filer, contact the CRA for assistance.
