Our products are always changing and updating. That's why we regularly release new versions of our certification exams and retire old ones.
The frequency of updates varies depending on the exam.
QuickBooks Desktop Certification
We generally release a new version of the QuickBooks Desktop certification course about once a year.
When the new version is released, the previous year's exam generally remains available for a few months. Once an exam is discontinued it is no longer available and any partial progress you made on the exam or its training modules is lost.
QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise Certification
We don't update the QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise certification exams every year. We update them periodically, depending on how much the product changes.
When we update an Enterprise exam, the new exam immediately replaces the older version. Any partial progress you made on the older version is lost when the new one is released.
If you're at risk of losing progress due to an upcoming new release, we'll email you ahead of time to let you know.
QuickBooks Online Certification
We update the QuickBooks Online certification course on a yearly basis.
Unlike the QuickBooks Desktop certification course, when we update the QuickBooks Online certification course, the new version immediately replaces the old one. Any partial progress you made on the older version is lost when the new one is released.
If you are in the middle of a certification exam and a new version is planned to release soon, we'll let you know ahead of time by email.
Advanced Certifications
We don't necessarily update the QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online Advanced certification exams every year. We update them periodically, depending on how much the products have changed.
When we update an Advanced exam, the new exam immediately replaces the older version. Any partial progress you made on the older version is lost when the new one is released.
