Set schedule and email information for a memorised report

SOLVEDby QuickBooks3Updated January 25, 2024

Once you've memorised a report, you can send it by email on a recurring schedule. You can send an individual report or a group of reports.

Note: This feature is available only in QuickBooks Online Essentials and Plus.

  1. Go to Reports (Take me there).
  2. Select Custom reports.
  3. Find the report you'd like to schedule for email and in the Action column, select Edit .
  4. Select Set email schedule to turn it on.
  5. Set the email recurrence based on your needs.
  6. Enter the email information for sending the report.
  7. If you want to send the report as an Excel file, select the Attach the report as an Excel file checkbox. Otherwise, the report is sent in HTML format.
  8. Select Save or Save and close.
Tips and tricks:
  • To set a quarterly schedule, choose Monthly and Every 3 months for the interval.
  • For Monthly reports, you can't choose the 29th, 30th, and 31st day of the month because these days aren't in every month. It's best to set Next Date to the 1st day of the following month to capture all transaction activities for that month.
  • We offer payroll services for QuickBooks in some countries. This information doesn't apply to payroll reports.
