Learn how to run year-end payroll and employee reports in Online Payroll.

There are several reports you can run in your Online Payroll to get the information you need for year-end:

  • The Employee Details report: Verify employees' names, addresses, and SSNs. It lets you confirm payroll tax and deduction setup.
  • If you're preparing your employees' W-2s manually, you can get most of the information you need from two reports.
    • Payroll Details report:  Shows a summary by employee shows the totals for each payroll item.
    • Payroll Tax & Wage Summary report: Shows you the taxable wages for your employees.

Intuit Online Payroll/Intuit Online for Accountants

  1. Select Reports. Then select the payroll report you want to run.
  2. If necessary, choose This Year as the date range. (If you end up running year-end reports after Jan 1st, choose Last Year for the date range.)

QuickBooks Online Payroll

  1. From the left menu, select Reports.

  2. In the search field enter report name. Or under All, scroll down and locate Payroll.
  3. Select the report of your choice.
  4. If necessary, choose This Year as the date range. (If you end up running year-end reports after Jan 1st, choose Last Year for the date range.)
  5. Select Run report.
