If QuickBooks Self-Employed isn’t quite right for your needs, you can cancel your subscription at any time in a few easy steps.

Note: if you purchased QuickBooks Self-Employed through the app store, see steps for canceling your iTunes or Google Play subscription.

Cancel a free trial

If you're in a free trial, there's no need to cancel - cancelation happens automatically at the end of the trial and you won't be billed.

If you're in a hurry, however, you can follow these steps:

  1. Open QuickBooks Self-Employed in a web browser
  2. Select the Gear  User-added imageicon at the top
  3. Select Cancel Trial

Cancel a paid subscription

To cancel your paid subscription purchased directly through Intuit (not through the app store)

  1. Open QuickBooks Self-Employed in a web browser (this can't currently be done in the mobile app)
  2. Select the Gear  User-added imageicon at the top
  3. Select Billing Info
  4. Select Cancel now in the Cancel section toward the bottom of the page

  5. Enter a reason for canceling and add any comments you want to share with us
  6. Select Cancel subscription
  7. Select Cancel subscription one more time, or, if you changed your mind, select Keep your subscription. (We want to give you one last chance to change your mind and hang on to your deductions.)
