If QuickBooks Self-Employed isn’t quite right for your needs, you can cancel your subscription through the app store at any time in a few easy steps.

Cancel a trial

If you're in a free trial, there's no need to cancel. Cancelation happens automatically at the end of the trial and you won't be billed.

Cancel a paid subscription purchased through the app store

In order to cancel, you'll need to go to through the app store you originally started your subscription through. When you cancel, you continue to have access to your account, including all features, until the next billing cycle.

Cancel on iOS (iPhone or iPad)

  1. Tap the cogwheel (Settings) from the home screen of your phone
  2. Tap App and iTunes Store
  3. Tap your Apple ID and then View Apple ID. Make sure you're signed in
  4. Under Subscriptions, tap Manage
  5. Tap QuickBooks Self-Employed, and turn off Automatic Renewal to cancel your subscription
To cancel your subscription on the web if you don't have access to your iPhone/iPad
  1. Open iTunes. If you're not signed in, sign in with your Apple ID
  2. From the menu bar at the top of your computer screen (or at the top of the iTunes window), choose Account > View My Account
  3. Authenticate your Apple ID, then select View Account
  4. On the Account Information page, scroll to the Settings section
  5. To the right of Subscriptions, select Manage
  6. Select Edit to the right of the subscription you want to manage
  7. Select Cancel Subscription

Cancel on Android

  1. Open the Google Play store from the home screen of your phone
  2. Tap the hamburger menu in the top left corner
  3. Tap My Account
  4. Scroll down to Subscriptions, find QuickBooks Self-Employed, and tap Cancel. Take note of the date in the confirmation dialog. Since you're already charged for the full month's subscription, your subscription will cancel after that date. You'll have access to all your data until then.
To cancel your subscription on the web if you don't have access to your Android device
  1. Go to play.google.com. Make sure you're signed in to your Google account
  2. Select My subscriptions from the left menu
  3. Find the subscription you want to cancel, then select Manage
  4. Select Cancel Subscription
