How financial institutions communicate with our systems can impact how we receive your data, which can sometimes lead to duplicate transactions.

While we are at work to improve these connections, there are a few things you can do to resolve this:

Double-check your bank statement

Log in to your bank’s website and check your bank statements. If you have that transaction twice, your data came in correctly. If you only see the transaction once, then you may have your bank account connected twice.

Check for duplicate accounts connected

Go to Bank Accounts and check if the bank or bank account is only appearing once. If the bank is connected twice, you can hide the extra account.

Hide a bank account

Web

  1. Select the Gear icon at the top.
  2. Under Transactions, select Bank Accounts.
  3. Find the account you want to hide, then toggle ON the Hide option

Android

  1. On the left menu, select Bank Accounts to pull up the list of connected banks.
  2. Select the bank you wish to hide.
  3. Check the box to hide the account.

iOS

  1. Select the Gear icon at the upper left.
  2. Select Bank Accounts to pull up the list of connected banks.
  3. Select the bank account you wish to hide, then toggle ON the Hide option.

Delete duplicate transactions

If you don’t fall into the above two scenarios, we’ve built a helpful tool to help you get through them. To use this tool:

Web

  1. On the left pane, select Transactions.
  2. If there are possible duplicates, you will see a note at the top. Select Delete duplicate transactions.
  3. Select each group of duplicates and mark the copy you want to keep.
  4. Select Keep marked transactions.

Note: Any unchecked transactions will be permanently deleted.

App

  1. On the main menu, select Transactions.
  2. If there are possible duplicates, you’ll see a note at the top. Select View.
  3. Select each group of duplicates and mark the copy you want to keep.
  4. Select Keep marked transactions.

Note: Any unchecked transactions will be permanently deleted.

Exclude the extra transactions

If you don’t fall into the above two scenarios, then you can exclude the duplicate transactions as they come in. To exclude a transaction:

  1. Select the transaction.
  2. Check Exclude on.

App

  1. Select the transaction.
  2. Scroll down.
  3. Toggle Exclude on.
