If you have forgotten the password to use for closing the books, you can set a new password.

Note To change your closing date password, you must be either a Company Administrator or the Master Administrator.
  1. Select the Gear icon on the Toolbar.
  2. Under Your Company, select Account and Settings (or Company Settings).
  3. From the left menu, select Advanced.

  4. In the Accounting section, select the Pencil icon.
  5. Enter a new password in the Closing date field.
  6. Select Save.
  7. Select Done.
