To submit your state W-2 forms:

  1. Create the W-2 file.  See E-file your State W-2s from QuickBooks Desktop for detailed steps.
  2. Copy the file you created in the step above to a CD.
    • Mail to New Mexico Taxation and Revenue Department.
    • Label the CD with your FEIN, Company name, and contact information.  Also, write the year for what you are filing the W-2 data on the CD.
    • Mail to New Mexico Taxation and Revenue Department.

Note: Employers may still submit W-2s to the agency on magnetic media for 2018.
Employers may also upload their W-2s to the agency TAP system:
  1. Access the state website.
  2. Upload the W-2 information.
    • Make sure you upload the .txt file, the Excel file cannot be submitted through the agency system.
