You gave us feedback that you wanted to maximize the invoicing feature available in product. We heard you! We have released the following enhancements that would provide convenience in creating your invoices.

Update:

To improve load times on the invoicing page, we've changed to default date range to the last 12 months. To see every invoice created (whether drafts, sent or paid), change the date range to All.

Send an Invoice to Multiple Emails

You now have the ability to send an invoice to multiple email addresses! While filling out the email information, you can add an extra email address to the “BCC” field.

This will send separate emails of the invoice to that email address, rather than creating an email thread.

  1. Go to Invoices page, select Create new Invoice.
  2. When creating an invoice, fill out the BCC field with any other email addresses you’d like to send a copy of the Invoice to.

    Note: This will NOT start an email thread but will instead just send a copy of the Invoice to any emails included in the BCC field.

  3. If any changes are made to the Invoice (including when it’s paid), anyone who received the Invoice will be able to open it with their initial email and see the changes reflected automatically.

Send an Invoice Reminder

Waiting for your client to pay the Invoice you sent them? You’re able to send them a gentle reminder, just in case they forgot!

  1. Go to Invoices page.
  2. Select the Invoice you wanted to remind them of. Click the drop-down arrow to the right of that Invoice. Choose Send Reminder.
  3. Make any necessary changes to the BCC, Subject, and Email body fields and select Send.

Send Paid Invoice Receipt

You can now send your clients a receipt/proof that they paid the balance of the Invoice you sent them! Here’s how:

  1. Go to Invoices page.
  2. Find the Invoice you want to duplicate and select the drop down arrow at the right side of the Invoice.
  3. Choose Duplicate.
  4. Change any necessary information and save or send the Invoice.

Send an Invoice Reminder

  1. Tap Invoices.
  2. Select the Invoice you want to be reminded of./li>
  3. Tap More at the bottom of the screen.
  4. Tap Send Reminder.
  5. Make any necessary changes to the BCC, Subject and Email body fields and tap Send.

Send Paid Invoice Receipt

  1. Once you received the payment from your client (via credit card/ACH), tap the Mark as Paid button.
  2. Tap the Invoice you want to send the receipt for.
  3. Tap Send Receipt at the bottom of the screen.
  4. Choose whether to email the receipt or select Share via to send through text message or other methods.
  5. Fill out the BCC, Subject, and Body of the email page. Tap Send.

Duplicate an Invoice in QuickBooks Self-Employed

  1. Tap Invoices section.
  2. Swipe left on the Invoice you want to duplicate.
  3. Tap Duplicate.
  4. Change any necessary information like the recipient’s name and email address.
