When signing in to QuickBooks Workforce, you use the user id/email address of your Intuit Account. You may need to change the email address that is associated to the Intuit Account if you no longer have access to the original email address, or the Intuit Account may have been accidentally created with an incorrect email address.

If you still have access to your original email address, you may update your email from either of the following areas:

Update email address from inside QuickBooks Workforce

  1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Workforce.
  2. Select the gear icon at the top right corner, and choose Account Settings.
  3. Beside Email Address, select Edit.
  4. Enter your new email address.
  5. Verify your current password.
  6. Select Save to store changes.
  7. A confirmation email will be sent to your new email address.

Update email address from Accounts.intuit.com

  1. Open your internet browser (preferably Google Chrome).
  2. Go to https://accounts.intuit.com.
  3. Sign in with you current user ID and password.
  4. Select Edit next to Email Address.
  5. Enter your new email address.
  6. Verify your current password.
  7. Select Save to store changes.
  8. A confirmation email will be sent to your new email address.
Recommendations:
  • Edit user ID to match your new email address.
  • Enter First name and Last name for future account changes

If you no longer have access to your original email address, you need to process an Email Change Request:

  1. Go to https://help.quickbooks.intuit.com/en_US/update_email?product_name=qbdt.
  2. Review the information required to be sure you are able to complete the update.
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions and click Submit.
  4. Once you have received confirmation your email address has been updated, sign in to QuickBooks Workforce.

If you are asked to confirm your account information with a code:

When you sign in to QuickBooks Workforce using your Intuit Account login, you may be asked to confirm your account information with a confirmation code. After choosing how you'd like to receive your code, click Continue and the code will be sent to you. If you no longer have access to the email listed, select the option Confirm my account a different way to change your email.

Do NOT leave the screen before entering your confirmation code. Open another window if necessary.


Retrieve the confirmation code from your email. It can sometimes take a few moments for the code to arrive in your email box. You may also want to check your bulk/junk/spam mail folder to see if the code went there.

Once you have entered your code click Continue. If you don't receive a code click Didn't receive a code. Once you have been verified you will automatically be signed in to QuickBooks Workforce.
