Learn how to create and publish your ProAdvisor profile in QuickBooks Online Accountant.
Put your ProAdvisor profile on the Find a QuickBooks ProAdvisor website to attract more business. Highlight your experience, skills, specializations, and QuickBooks certifications, so you can connect with the right clients.
Step 1: Sign up for QuickBooks Online Accountant
If you haven't yet, create a QuickBooks Online Accountant firm. This is where you and your team can collaborate. You’re also eligible for ProAdvisor Program benefits, training, and certification.

Step 2: Create your ProAdvisor profile
Create your ProAdvisor profile and get ready to publish it.
- Sign in to QuickBooks Online Accountant.
- Select the Profile icon next to Settings ⚙.
- Select Go to ProAdvisor profile.
- Craft your profile. Double-check your firm's business address. This improves the accuracy of search results for clients in your area.
Note: Review the info in each section. Select Edit ✎ if you need to make changes, then select Save. - (Optional) Select Preview to see what your profile will look like on the Find a QuickBooks ProAdvisor website.
Step 3: Confirm and publish your ProAdvisor profile
Before you can publish your profile, we need to verify your eligibility and identity (ID):
Note: If we're able to confirm your ID, we'll publish your profile within 2 business days. Otherwise, we might email you to request notarized business documentation, like a Business License or Articles of Incorporation.
- Select the Profile icon next to Settings ⚙.
- Select Go to ProAdvisor profile.
- Select the Publish profile
switch. - Fill out the requested info.
- Upload a copy of your valid government-issued ID.
Once we confirm your info, we'll publish your profile on the Find a QuickBooks ProAdvisor website.
Update and enhance your ProAdvisor profile
Do you have new skills or qualifications you want to add to your ProAdvisor profile? Or you simply want to update your info? You may do so in QuickBooks. This helps you stand out among the other bookkeepers and increase your chances of getting more clients.

See your ProAdvisor leads
View messages and respond to potential clients who contact you through the Find a QuickBooks ProAdvisor website.
- Select the Profile icon next to Settings ⚙.
- Select Go to ProAdvisor profile.
- Select the Leads tab. Then, select View to see the message.
- Enter your response, then select Send email.
This sends an email to your potential new client. Their response goes to your email inbox so you can continue the conversation.
