You can change your user ID, password, and email address from within your QuickBooks Online company. In order to do this, you must know your current username and password and be able to sign in. If you have forgotten some of your login information, follow the instructions in Forgot User Id or Password for QuickBooks Online instead.

To change your login information:

  1. Access the account manager. This requires different steps depending whether you use QuickBooks Online or QuickBooks Online Accountant.
  2. Edit the information you wish to change.
    • To change your user ID or email address, click the corresponding Edit link on this page.
    • To change your password, click Security on the left and then click the Edit link beside the Password section.
  3. Click Save.
