Moving the company file from one computer to another requires several steps to make sure that you will not lose any company information.

  • Back up your data file on your old computer.
  • Copy the back up from the old computer to the new computer.
  • Install QuickBooks on the new computer.
  • Restore the back up on the new computer.
  • Uninstall QuickBooks from the old computer.
