How to Wiki on This Site?
Here's a quick overview of how to wiki at the Intuit Community website. Over the coming weeks/months, we will be adding more features and functionality.

Goal of these Wiki pages:
•Help us create a living online user manual
•Add articles, write "How-To's", RSS feeds, and embed videos
•Start by adding content to an existing wiki page or create / submit a new wiki contact

How to get started:
•To add or edit content, just click the EasyEdit button at the top of each page page

•Add text, incorporate videos (click on "widgets"), add links, and more using the EasyEdit Toolbar

Note: If you are using Safari on a Mac, you will not have as many options. I have not tested yet on an iPhone.

Rules of the Road

First and foremost, understand our terms of service. The same rules apply here.

Links to articles are permitted, but will be edited out if they are primarily a solicitation.

If you use materials from sources that are not yours, you need to credit that source.

When you add an article, you can provide a "signature" with a link to your name, company's name, and a link to the business website.

Contributions become part of the Intuit site and available for other users to download freely.

Topics should be related to the wiki where they are entered. For example, if the article deals with tricks for invoice customers, it should go in Accounts Receivable. If the article talks about how to set up WIP, it should probably go in to the Builders wiki. Moderators and other editors reserve the right to move an article to an appropriate wiki.

Info on Features:
•Anyone who has used Microsoft Word can readily edit content in Wetpaint -- no markup language is required.
•Full WYSIWYG editing and text formatting, including multiple fonts, font sizes, colors, alignment, and integrated spellcheck.
•Additional formatting options such as bulleted and numbered lists, tables and layouts.
•Creation of internal and external links without HTML or messy URLs.
•Easy embedding of YouTube videos and other widgets like calendars, polls, music, chat, RSS feeds, and photo slideshows.

What's coming:
•In the coming months, we will add new features (ratings, FaceBook widgets, key contributor badges, new pages, new topics, and more).

For best results, do not cut and paste from a web browser or from a word processing program.

Oh yea,... here's a nice video about wikis that Host Amy K sent to me
