In Windows XP, why does Windows Explorer lock up when the folder contains a QuickBooks file since installing QuickBooks 2010?
I have exactly the same issue, which seems to co-incide with 2010 install. Was isolated, but has got worse to the point I cannot even look at a file without Windows Explorer freezing.
Help!

I'm having this issue as well. It is getting more and more frustrating every day! Any updates on a resolution?




I'm not sure what is going on, but I suspect you might have installed Google Desktop. There is an option to install it during the QuickBooks installation.
Search QuickBooks Help for instructions on how to uninstall Google Desktop. I think your computer will perform better without it. (You can always reinstall it later if you want.)
