I have 3 HP Laser jet printers, various ages (3 to 5 years old) & they all work very well.

I think your choice should be based on price & features such as speed & auto duplex.

My fastes duplex is model HP 2420d, but I don't think they make that exact model anymore.

We use an HP1022n for all tax return printing. It is a small laser printer but it is a WORKHORSE (2 years old and already has 70,000 copies on it, going strong!) and it's networkable which is very necessary for our firm. We also use an HP2605dn for our color laser printing. Always stick with HP. I seriously think they make the most reliable printers, especially for the high-volume printing we do.
