Where is the packing slip template?
I see in the Pro 2007 Help that there is supposedly a packing slip template. I haven't been able to find it. Can anyone help tell me where it is?Thank you.

To create a packing slip, click on "invoices", customers & create invoices. On the top right side of the invoice form there is a drop down option, click on that and select the packing slip option.
To edit/modify the packing slip form, click on list, templates (here you'll see all the form templates available), copy and rename the template you want to use prior to making changes. Then if you don't like the changes you can start over with the original template.

Agreed. I'll just add that there can be a bit of confusion, because QB allows you to create packing slips from either sales orders or invoices. Invoices are generally the way to go, unless you're absolutely sure that all of the items on all of your sales orders will be sent in the first shipment, with no missing or backordered items.
I need the answer.... I have the same problem.... QB is using a Packing slip with a different format than the one I want to create.
After spending 2 weeks trying to get this program working the way it is need to I have found packing list templates in the program files, modified them to suit my needs and have yet to get the sales order information to fill in the required fields. Oh yea it will fill fill in your company information but you can not access it from the "Drop Down Menu"
I did find this after spending hours looking through unanswered and miss leading post. Sooooo here's your answer guys straight from the horses mouth

Hi Adam!
Currently, QBOE doesn't have the capability to do a packing slip and there isn't a great work around either. I would recommend submitting feedback [ https://qboe.custhelp.com/cgi-... ] on why you would really like to see a packing slip feature and how it impacts your business.
Thanks for coming to the forums!
Aimee, QBOE :)

With 1000's of post requesting this very information you would think that some would have already got the idea that this was a requirement as a business solution! Me I going to chock this up to a waste of my valuable time and find a real business solution!
Anyone that creates invoices needs packing slips. I do now want the boys in the warehouse knowing how much I make off of an invoice. Come on, I switched to Quick BOOKS because it is suppose to be the endall in business solutions. I guess I will have to go back to MS Accounting as you print a packing slip at the touch of a button. It takes the information from your invoice and prints a packing slip; oh well guess the Mighty Microsoft wins again.
OK I found a work around that is not real complicated; Customize the invoice by removing the print option on the customization fields, I removed rate, amount, total. Left Description, Item and Quantity --- then Printed it out from Print Preview and then went and added them back said OK and I have a correct packing slip. This a lot of trouble so I hope they fix it soon. I NEVER found out what Mike3br59 was talking about. Hey QB how about a fix here?

The original discussion was about Pro.
entercircleB, you mention QBOE (QuickBooks Online Edition). That is a very different product than Pro, and you really should post information about that in the QBOE forums. The answer for QBOE is very different than the one for Pro, Premier or Enterprise. Totally different products. Are you actually working with QBOE?
GHW9 - again, what product are you using? QuickBooks Premier, for example, has a separate packing slip template. You tell QB which template to use for packing slips in your "preferences" and then when you look at an invoice (for example), the "print" button has an option to print using the packing slip template.
