how much experience do you have with tax preparation? Are you using Proseries and have you installed the program?

This isn't OnStar so I hope you aren't out on the highway someplace.
If you are asking about the software rather than taxes in general, go here:

Are you using ProSeries Professional or Basic?

(1)Start by learning how to use the software by entering basic information and set up what is called a "Dummy" return
(2) Spend time with another preparer and watch what that person does in the preparation of returns
(3) Read and keep close a copy of Publication 17 which is both a detail and good place to reference for key points
(4) Spend time here in the Comminity reading questions asked and responses given--I learn something new everyday
(5) Above all don' be afraid to ask questions
The above are just a few recommendations and we look forward to seeing more of you in our community

Some good answers here. Tell us what you are struggling with.

All of the above are great suggestions. Here are a few more:
Get a copy of the 2008 software and input a few returns to see if you get the same result as you did last year. You can probably get Intuit to give you last year at no charge.
Prepare your own return using the software.
Get some reference materials. Publication 17 is a good start but you might look into Quickfinder - Quickfinder.thomson.com
Good afternoon and welcome to ProSeries! Please visit our resources page to see all of the steps to get started.
