Here is official the answer from Intuit:
Last night an update was released to QuickBooks 2008, 2009, and 2010. This has caused the home page in QuickBooks to appear blank. Our engineering group is working hard to fix the problem and hopefully there will be a fix for this issue very soon. We apologize for any inconvenience this problem has caused you.
Workaround - Navigate to the correct folder and rename two files.
Close QuickBooks.
Browse to the Data folder for your QuickBooks product.
• QuickBooks 2008
32 Bit computers - Navigate to C:\Program Files\Intuit\QuickBooks 2008\Data
64 Bit computers - Navigate to C:\Program Files(x86)\Intuit\QuickBooks 2008\Data
Rename AppDef.18100603.dat to xAppDef.18100603.dat
Rename SuperNav.18100603.dat to xSuperNav.18100603.dat
• QuickBooks 2009
