Important Announcement! A planned system-wide upgrade will take place over the Memorial Day Weekend in the US (From Thurs, May 24, 2012 at 6 pm PDT thru Tues, May 29, 2012 at 5 am PDT). What would be important things to ask my client for before I start inputting his payroll info?

When just starting out and I got a new client, what do I need to ask for to input the clients info. It has been several years since I have used QuickBooks and now I am starting a payroll business of my own. I have never set it up on my own though.

On my website, under Practice Resources there is a link to info from Intuit Online Payroll for Accountants which includes a Client Start Up Checklist, marketing guide & pricing guide to help you. http://longforsuccess.com/reso...; There are a lot of other great resources listed on my website too.

Also, in QuickBooks click on Help > Learning Center Tutorials and watch the videos on Payroll and practice with a sample file.
