What is going on with the QuickBooks PDF converter? My program ends up hour-glassing, and I HAVE to CTRL-ALT-DEL.

What is going on with the QuickBooks PDF converter? It not only doesn't work, and hasn't for several months, but it hour-glasses my QuickBooks program to the polnt that I have to Ctrl-Alt-Delete and close the program every single time I try to use it.. Very frustating.
I've tried deleting the QB PDF "printer", however that doesn't work either.
Major problem, because I can't bring up previously reconciled bank stmts, as they appeared at the time of the reconcilation.
I've upgraded my software and my laptop, and still the same problem...
PLEASE HELP!!
