Say you have an office in Trenton, NJ and a second office in Newark, NJ. You could have a "Newark" class and a "Trenton" class to keep track of expenses for each office, yet also have a combined "P&L" statement that shows both -- Trenton in one column, Newark in another column, total in last column.
