Thoughts on my website...please!
Hi 1wfo,
Could you please provide a link to your website?
Thanks,
Hi 1wfo,
Thanks for the reply.
I like the layout of your website. It's clean and very easy to navigate. However I do have a few recommendations.
1. I assume you work out of Texas by the testimonials, but I really have no idea where you are located or the different cities or areas you service. It would be a good idea to list your local area on your homepage for not only visitors to see, but also search engines to pick up and rank you online for.
2. I see your a personal trainer, but you may want a services page as I can't tell exactly what you offer. Can I call you for strength training, cardio, lose belly fat, sports training etc...? Might not be a bad idea to list some of the more common services you offer.
3. Phone number. I recommend having your phone number in the header next to your name. There has been studies on coversion rates and having your number or email address at the top of your site has proven to convert more visitors into customers.
Other than that I like the look and feel of your website.
Hope that helps,
Chris
Wow! Hey Chris, that's great info and very much appreciated. I will absolutley make those changes. Thank you very much. Gary Benkendorf, CI-CPT
A few more thoughts.
1 - Improve SEO
SEO (search engine optimization) is the process of making your site have keywords that are relevant to what you're selling on your site. Its one of the many things sites like Google rely on to serve up relevant content to people as they search. With that said, you're a personal trainer but you only actually use those words on your site a handful of times (just 3 on the first page). I would recommend adding it a few more times throughout your site and include other relevant words to your audience - e.g. think of words they would search on like "weight loss", "boot camp", "baby weight", etc. and find logical ways of incorporating them into your site.
2 - Update your Photo Gallery
I think the photos on your site are good but they are all about you. As someone seeking out a personal trainer, I want to know and see what I could look like by working out with you. I would move those photos to your "about me" page and consider adding pics of your satisfied customers to the photo gallery page or the testimonials page.
In short, I would take a step back and ask myself this question: "If I were someone seeking out a personal training what 3 big things would I want to know before making a decision?". For me, those three would be: 1 - what are his/her qualifications? 2 - is he/she effective? what do his clients look like? and 3 - how much will it cost? And a less important question would be - where are the sessions? To be honest I would say that your site addresses #1 very well (love the Cooper certification by the way!). #2 moderately well (i.e. I get this from your photo gallery page. if you can look that good i bet you know what you're talking about. #3 and #4 you fall short on.
Hope that helps.
Taxalicious...Good stuff and much appreciated! I do need to move the photos to an appropriate category and a "before an after" section is something I need to get to asap. Thanks again and be well.
