Vista SP1 works with QuickBooks
Microsoft is getting close to releasing Vista SP 1 (service pack 1). They've released the final version of this to software developers and MSDN subscribers this week, and at some future date I believe that they are going to push it out the door via Windows Update to people who subscribe to the update service.I've just installed it on some test systems that are running Enterprise 7 and Enterprise 8, and QuickBooks seems to be working quite well with SP1 at this time, with one possible exception. Note that I've only installed this today and run through some simple tests, and that I'm running the most recent updates of Enterprise 7 & 8.The only issue I've run into so far is one that has been discussed extensively already - the flash tutorials. On these test systems I cannot run the tutorials through QuickBooks with Flash 9 installed (although I can run the tutorials directly by locating the files and running them in IE 7). One of the systems that I updated HAD been able to run the tutorials, but lost that ability when I installed SP1. This indicates to me that there is a compatibility issue that is caused by some updated feature in Vista itself, not in QBES). As the tutorials aren't a feature that these systems need to access, I'm not sure if I'm going to pursue that aspect of things myself.
