I have 3 VAT amounts in the Pay Bills section.A problem last year with VAT has been sorted leaving these amounts. I now need to clear the amounts from Pay bills without affecting my bank reconcilliation or other areqas of QB as all ohter entries are correct. I would welcome any advise
How did they get there, what transactions generated them.?
Its quite simple to pay them from another bank account(Cash) or by journal but it depends on the answer to above and where you want to post the figures are they large?
If they are in pay bills then this is normally as a result of file vat and this does point to other issues!

Originally I could not "file vat return", so I entered as a bill. this then over 3 VAT quarters created a problem, so i got onto the Support guys in India who sorted it out. The problem had also caused us to pay to much VAT, this is all solved but Iam now left with the amounts and yes it is a large amount. I am looking at a way to clear them out without it affecting anything else. The Guys in Inda say it cannot be done, however, I am sure there must be some way aroung this!
What happened to the Vat filing as if they were correctted then the bills could be voided.
I am interested in how they solved the problem, because having solved your Vat filing issue which should have resulted in the hvat being filed in QB then the filing generated bills to pay. If you entered them as well then its well possible you can void them.
How were these bills posted. tranactions used and accounts please.
It was a while ago now, but I was talked through a process of doing journals which resulted in everything sorting itself out. The amounts sitting in "pay bills" are excess to requirements. If I can find out how to void them this may be the answer
From pay bills or the supplier account double click the bills in question and from teh edit menu select void this shouyld do what you want.
