trying to use bank rec feature for cash flow. I clear checks weekly in bank rec and pull check register to see what is still OS. When I do bank rec, it shows items cleared after the bank stmt date. Hide transactions doesn't solve. Help!
You are creating your own problem. Stop marking the items as cleared in QB until you are processing the bank reconciliation for the period. Your check register, if kept up to date, should be the only indicatior of cash on hand that you should need. You used the term cash flow, but since you are limiting yourself to the bank account, I am assuming you mean cash available to spend.
