Important Announcement! A planned system-wide upgrade will take place over the Memorial Day Weekend in the US (From Thurs, May 24, 2012 at 6 pm PDT thru Tues, May 29, 2012 at 5 am PDT). This includes QuickBooks, QuickBooks Payroll, Point of Sale, & Salesforce.com. This is only for US based products. This does not affect QuickBooks Online customers! During this time, you can shop, but can’t place orders online, activate products or update account info. We apologize for the inconvenience & thank you for patience while we improve our infrastructure to better serve you. International versions are unaffected. For more info, see our community discussion.

Use 2010 for 2009 Acct's Copy?

Can I use QuickBooks 2010 to use a Qbks 2009 Accountant's Copy and still be able to export the changes back to the client with 2009? I know this was supposedly available with 2009/2008 but I hadn't heard or seen anything regarding 2010. Thanks!

There is an issue with the conversion of 2010 to a previous version of QuickBooks and there are special instructions on how to accomplish this. In the release of 2010 this was addressed in emails to Pro Advisors. You can check this out at: http://support.quickbooks.intuit.com/support/Pages/KnowledgeBaseArticle/898437
