upgrade from quickbooks pro 2006 to 2011 - windows xp

US QuickBooks Pro for Windows

How do I upgrade from quickbooks pro 2006 to 2011? When I try every method of opening or restoring my company file, both the *.QBW and *.QBB quickbooks just crashes... Please help

Run a rebuild of the 2006 data in the 2006 program. Then open the QBW file with the 2010 program.

File menu > Utilities > Rebuild

Latest post

See if you can find a local ProAdvisor to help. Maybe they can take you to the 2007 or 2008 before you go to 2011. It should go to the 2011 program directly.
