Updating from 2009 to 2012

ProSeries : 2009

I purchased 2012 and downloaded to my desktop. How do I get my upgrade into my 2009 Quickbooks company?

2012 is a new program and you will just install it by opening up the file you downloaded. Once 2012 is installed, you will just open your company file like you did with 2009.

This will upgrade the company file to 2012.

You do not do anything in QB2009.

When you will open QuickBooks 2012 the first time, the new software will find the older version of QuickBooks on your computer, and import your company file and preferences for you.
