No. The way it works is that any workstation (provided you have granted them rights) can download the updates. The zip files on the workstation are then compared to those on the server (in your shared system file path) and if the server's files are older, the new ones are copied there. Then, when other stations open Lacerte, the compare happens again, and then each station is subsequently updated. No one has to exit, but upon re-entry they will be prompted to update.

i have several branch offices with employees who are frequently out in the field. would any conflicts arise if i set everyone to update automatically? or should i designate one person in each office to update lacerte.
