Unable to import to Excel? QB Premier Accountant Edition 2009

US QuickBooks Premier : 2009: Accountant

I'm using QuickBooks Premier Accountant's Edition for 2009 and suddenly the "Export to Excel" function is greyed-out, only the "export to a CSV file" is available. I briefly turned off the "automatic update" feature, but turned it back on. Help!

Try doing a repair or reinstallation of your Microsoft Office installation. QuickBooks can't find a registry key that it uses to detect Excel, and repair/reinstall usually fixes that.

If this helped, please give a "thumbs up" or mark it Solved.

I tried a repair (haven't tried a reinstallation) of Excel this morning, but that did not work, thanks for trying to help.

Then the next step is to do a repair of QuickBooks.

Usually the repair for Office works, but not always. In most cases where that doesn't work, a repair of QuickBooks will take care of it. In fewer cases neither does the trick, and that is where it gets difficult to tell without having hands on the system.
